What is the Gospel?

Below is the classic passage in the Bible that succinctly describes the Gospel--note the underline portions of the Bible:
Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

To conclude, the passage teaches us this about the Gospel:

1. The Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins, paying in full all your sin and rebellion against the Lord God so you do not have to eternally suffer in everlasting fire (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, 1 John 1:7-9, Revelation 20:11-15, Mark 9: 48).

2. The Lord Jesus Christ was buried and resurrected from the dead on the third day (Matthew 28: 1-20, Mark 16: 1-20, Luke 24: 1-53, John 20: 1-31).

3. The Lord Jesus Christ offers eternal life with Him to all who forsake their sin and turn to Him by faith (Romans 1:16, Romans 3:21-26, Ephesians 2: 1-22, Romans 10:9-13).
