Life Is Difficult! Why?

Life is difficult! Anyone who has lived as an adult for any length of time has come to realize this.  It seems no matter how hard one tries to arrive at a place in life where everything is perfect or calm, trouble seems to raise its ugly head and cause problems.  Why is that?  Why does life have so much difficulty?  The Bible addresses this issue in many verses throughout the Scripture.  Here is a list of some verses that have helped me understand difficulty and how to ride through the trouble:

Remember that God didn't create the universe and the world to be full of trouble--He created everything originally perfect without error (Genesis 1:31)!

Remember that trouble and difficulty entered this world and became the new normal when humanity chose to rebel against the Lord God as their Creator (Genesis 3:1-24; Romans 1: 18-32; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12).

Remember that God has not forgotten you in your trouble (Exodus 2:24-25; Judges 2:18; Nehemiah9:27,28; Psalm 22:5; Psalm 22:24).

Remember that God has given us His Word to help us understand our sinful world and to help us through life and its troubles (Psalm 119:97-105 Psalm 119: 137-144).

Remember that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to bring a restoration of fellowship between the Creator and humanity (Genesis 3:15; John 3:16; Romans 5:1-21; Colossians 1:13-22).

Remember that Jesus Christ, God's Son, lived in this sin curse world and experienced every trouble we face today--and over came (John 16:33; Hebrews 2:18; Hebrews 4:15)!

Remember, if you are a Christian, Jesus Christ promises to be with you in all of life's circumstances (Matthew 28:19-20; Hebrews 13:5).

Remember that Jesus Christ is preparing for you a home in heaven (John 14:1-4; Revelation 22:1-6)!

Remember:
Exodus 2:24-25 ESV "And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 God saw the people of Israel--and God knew."
