Let God Lead You Away From Your Sin!

Everyday God gives you on the road of life is another opportunity to turn to Christ Jesus for salvation.  2 Corinthians 6:2

God's Divine Delay

The Bible makes it very clear in Romans 2:4 that God purposely delays judgement so sinners have an opportunity to repent from their sin and turn to Him:
Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
Why does God do this?  He does this because He is of a different character than us (Praise God!--If God was like us, a lot fewer people would be alive today on the earth!).

He delays because He is rich in being:
  1. Kind-this means He is morally good--1 John 1:5 teaches that God has no darkness at all!  God has nothing to hide from us because He is Holy (Isaiah 6:3).
  2. Tolerant--meaning God restrains from judgment because He wants the sinner to leave his sin and turn to Him for salvation (Isaiah 43:11).
  3. Patient--This means God is not rash.  He has established one day when all sinners will give an account to Him (Romans 4:5-11; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 20:11-15).  God's judgment will be based on facts (Romans 2:5-6), not on emotion.

God Wants You To Be Forgiven!

Our verse teaches us that His delay is meant to lead us to repentance.  This means that everyday God delays judgment, He is granting one more opportunity for individuals to be lead to the point where they will turn from their sins, and place their faith in the everlasting One, Jesus Christ.  2 Peter 3:9  The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

The Day of Salvation

This verse comes true everyday for many individuals!  It came true to my life when I was a child. Has the day of salvation come to you and your house?  If not, while you still have today, turn to the Lord Jesus by faith by admitting your are a sinner, by believing that Jesus died and took God's wrath for your sins, and by receiving in your heart the gift of eternal life from the risen Jesus Christ!
Romans 10:9-13  because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  10  For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.  11  For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame."  12  For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.  13  For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
