You Have A Wonderful Purpose For Your Life

One of the great questions of life that many people struggle with is what is the purpose of life.  Did you know that the Bible gives us the answer to the purpose of every human being?

Romans 11:36: "For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen."

This verse gives us the purpose for our lives.You were created by Him, through His mighty power, so you could live for Him.

Is that not a wonderful and amazing thought?  You are not here by some random chance of chemical processes, rather, you are here for a purpose--you were made to give glory to God!

Also Colossians 1:16 teaches us "For  by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him."

Therefore, since you are made to praise the Lord, are you doing so today?  Are you living up to your created potential to give glory to the God of the Universe who made you in His image (Genesis 1:27)? If you realize you are not, take the next moment to ask the Lord Jesus Christ (the subject of Colossians 1:16) to forgive you of your sin and ask Jesus Christ to be the Savior of your life. If you come to Him in all seriousness--no matter what you have done--He will forgive you of your sin, save you from eternal judgement, and give you eternal life in Him!  Once you have given your life over to Jesus Christ you will forever have a wonderful purpose!  Consider these verses about the purposeful life in Jesus Christ:
“Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;
And you who have no money come, buy and eat.
Come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without cost.
“Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And delight yourself in abundance.
“Incline your ear and come to Me.
Listen, that you may live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
According to the faithful mercies shown to David. Isaiah 55:1-3
For God so loved the world, that He gave His  only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:9-13
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. Revelation 22:12
You have a purpose in life.  That purpose is to live for Christ.  If you live for Him, He will always be there to comfort you, strengthen you, help you, and keep you--until that day that you cross the great divide from life on earth to life with Him in Heaven (1 Thessalonians 5:9-11).  Why waste your life on things that don't satisfy?  Why live for the passing pleasure of sin--you will still be hungry later. Sin only brings sorrow and judgment, life in Christ satisfies (John 4:7ff).
